White Mountains reflection -How is Will like me???

When Will ran away in fear of Henry, his action reminds me of myself. My connection is when Will got mad at Henry for scaring him. My friend and I were having a play date and my mom was out and only my friend, my maid and I were at home. My maid was upstairs and my friend and I started playing. Suddenly we heard someone come in and we started hiding to take cover and then it turned out that it was my mom who came in. This reminded me of how Will was like me. Another time, near the corridor outside the science class, my classmates and I started chatting very loudly. Then we started playing with a student's ball. In other words, we were misbehaving. We continued while waiting for the teacher to arrive. I was talking and talking and then all of a sudden someone opened the door! We all started to quiet down and sat on top of the cubby and started preparing for class on a count of 3 ( 123!) However, it turned up to be a student who used the back way. I got so mad like Will and this shows how Will is like me.

In humanities we had to do a project about a Egyptian Pharaoh. I had to do Khufu a Pharaoh. I did this with ted. This project is about Khufu. People nickname him as the "Great pyramid builder".

Kuala Lumpur Reflection

This is the flag of Kuala Lumpur. It is slightly different than the Malaysian flag. I did a presentation on Kuala Lumpur since that is my birth place and the only place I know much about.

My believes about the presentation are that I did well in finding the images and sorting them out as well as writing the text using interesting vocabulary. I think I performed well since I spoke loudly, had some eye contact and my pronunciation was quite clear. When I showed the location map, I think it was creative to first show a map of Kuala Lumpur, then a map of where Kuala Lumpur was located in Malaysia. As for the other graphics, I carefully chose pictures including the different races in Malaysia and the Gombak and Klang rivers to highlight my points. In the very first slide, I showed the flag of Kuala Lumpur flag to capture audience interest.

In the future, I would not like to be absent because then I would have limited time to complete my school work. In looking back at my project, I think I could have put in more images. I was unsuccessful in including music and need to learn how to do this. Although I can vividly recall being pretty organized for the oral presentation, it could have been better if I added my own words instead of reading off the screen most of the time. In future presentations, I need to remind myself about all these importants factors.

I learned a lot about my country. For example, I never knew Kuala Lumpur was famous for processing tin-ore and that that the city grew around the Klang and Gombak rivers which were sources of water and transport. I think that YOU should visit Kuala Lumpur which is now a popular business center. Now I understand why there are so many races living in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. I like my classmates' presentations too especially Alex' presentation because he used his voice well and the slides were neat. From all the presentations, I learned about the history of cities, population and locations that we learned in class.

I personally think that my presentation was awesome! However, my performance could have been better. Although I put in a lot of effort in doing the slides, I was quite nervous when I presented. I should be more confident and less nervous. Secondly, I need to show my excitement with some slides by changing my voice and including some actions so that the audience is always entertained.

My Learning Profile!!! My mind my style and etc!!!!!

My learning profile K says that I learn best when doing it. And i also learn best if I'm not stressed.  I also try harder if someones supports me when i'm there. And i agree to that myself because when my friends and i played tag and I was the tagger and that got me so mad and stressed so in class i didn't do very well.




I need to be encouraged to work need communicate the details. And i need to sit at the front row so that i can listen well. And i also need to not be so stressed out or else it will effect me. And if i read out loud it may help me.


And the strategies that would help me in my learning are reading out loud and getting to work on being logic as well. And drawing,writing with my non- dominant hand will help. I also need to balance my art,music movement and interpersonal skills with cognitive endeavors in linguistics and mathematics.

And I would like my teachers to know that I'm a gestalt and i don't like  if you go so strict on me. And i like teachers who don't get so easily angry and i know i also need to take some responsibility as well. And I would like my teacher to know that not to push me to hard. And also i would like my teacher to chose partners since when Its group work no on ever comes to me to be partners and when i go and find partners everyone already has partners or they make a excuse.And that really annoys me. And give more time limits to do our work. And when i raise my hand up please pick me because I don't really raise my hand up for a question.

2011 New Years Resolution

My New Year  resolution is to improve my handwriting, making it neater and legible. This is because when I do a really good essay handwritten, sometimes   people who read it don't understand what I have written. And for that I lose points and my grade goes lower. Although I don't really like to write, I must make myself learn to like writing.


Another  New Year  resolution is to improve my fitness, especially my stamina and speed. First of all  I love  playing tag or in other  words "catch-catch". So in order to catch people I have to be fast. And to keep track of my speed I also need to build my stamina  so that it can enhance my speed. And also when I do PE I can be faster and  can get good grades. I might even make many friends. So that's why I need to improve my speed and stamina.

A snapshot of my holiday is I went to Seremban with my friend, Vishnu. He and  I don't go to the same school.  We met by being neighbors. Both of us have school holidays in December.  So we went to Seremban by car.  My mom drove us there and we met my mom's friend, Saumun.   She took us to our hotel which was a chalet in a club called Royal Sungai Ujong Club. We stayed there for one night. We also made another friend named Lucas.  His mom was my mom's and Saumun's friend too. After that, we went to Saumun's house. She has 5 dogs so we played with them.   My favorite dog was "Spring". The other dogs were  Diver,Bones,Lucky and Smilee. Later in the day, we went to a shopping complex and I bought my all time favorite book "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid" and the sub heading was" The Ugly Truth". My mom bought  Vishnu  Mr Midnight, a series of scary books. Then we went to the swimming pool in the club and met new friends from the U.S (United States). The next day we returned home.


My second holiday snapshot was that my sister made a surprise visit and we had a good time. When that happened, it was the day  we had come back from Seremban. And Vishnu was there too so I had company for 1 whole week. My mom cooked special dishes for all of us. We went to Desa Park City for New Year's  Eve. My sister was   there when the countdown happened and so was Vishnu. So I had a memorable  time!

Blog Post Partner working Good or bad ? - I Say......

1.The benefits of working with a classmate.      First of all i think working with a classmate is good. 


The benefits of working with a partner are, you get many idea's and you can edit each others work and you can see what the your partner has wrote down so you can see whether the passage is the same or the question are etc.
And you get a better backup of saving suppose if your partner or you cant save or print  or other issue's your partner can save. And incase you made a grammar mistake your partner can edit it. 


2. Challenges / obstacles which you overcame (tried to overcome).
 The challenges that i tried to overcome was when i tried to think of a good question a level 3 one i tried but i could only think about lame and level 1 questions. Until i asked my friend weather she could help me and she gave me a good idea. But still we took a lot of time like we would start working on it again in half an hour and in the end we had to quickly do it.


3. New understandings that you gained about the novel.


At the beginning of the book i thought this book was an adventure book about a boy going to a cave but i never thought elephants would be involved in the book. And i never thought that the story would take place in the present i thought it took place in the old times where the had shelters as homes. And i i never thought a Suppet was another main charter. That is my understandings about my novel.
